Why does loaded van recovery cost more?

Loaded vans require a heavier-duty flatbed truck with reinforced winches and load-securing kit, plus longer loading time and additional insurance for goods-in-transit. The standard £280 loaded rate reflects the actual operating cost. Premium-spec loaded vans (V-Class executive, custom Sprinter conversion, refrigerated prestige) are from £490 because they need chassis-pickup-only strapping protocols and discreet handling - most generic firms quote £600+ for the same job, with no quality guarantee.

Can you transfer my tools to another van?

Yes. If a colleague can meet us en route, we'll transfer your tools or stock between vehicles at the recovery site or any point on the way. There's no extra charge for tool transfer.

Do you do refrigerated van recovery?

Yes - and we'll coordinate power-on-arrival if your cargo is cold-chain sensitive. Mention the type of refrigeration unit when you call so we send a vehicle that can plug into your fridge unit.

Will you recover an HGV over 7.5 tonnes?

Larger HGVs require specialist heavy-duty recovery and are quoted separately. We work with partner HGV operators in London and can coordinate the call on your behalf - but the price will depend on the truck's weight, location and destination.

How do I get a VAT invoice for company books?

Tell us at the time of booking that you need a VAT invoice. We email the invoice (with our VAT number, your registered address and the recovery breakdown) within four hours of completion. PDF and accountant-ready format.

Can you recover a van with a flat tyre?

Yes. For a single flat we can often fit a spare on the spot if you have one, or recover the van to your nearest tyre fitter. Multi-tyre damage (kerb hit, blowout) is treated as a standard recovery.

Do you charge waiting time?

No. Our rate is fixed at the time of booking - we don't add waiting time, traffic time or fuel surcharges to a quoted price. The only exception is if you're not at the vehicle when we arrive and we're held more than 45 minutes.

Will you respond to a van breakdown at 3am?

Yes - we operate 24 hours a day. Out-of-hours dispatch may carry a small uplift on the standard rate, which will be quoted before any driver leaves. Most overnight van calls come from Heathrow couriers and night-shift trades, and we deal with both routinely.
